The service is temporarily offline for security updates
Two critical security vulnerabilities have been found in the PHP programming language. As a precaution, we have taken the service offline while we install the security fixes on our servers.
-
A preventive measure
This is a precaution, not an outage. We are keeping the service offline until the fixes are installed, so that the vulnerability cannot be exploited.
-
A worldwide issue
This is not specific to us. A large share of the world's websites run on PHP, and our platform is built on PHP as well.
-
The recommended procedure
The EU cybersecurity authority recommends taking public-facing services offline until the fixes are installed. The Finnish government, for example, has done the same.
-
Your data is safe
The maintenance break does not affect stored data. Everything will be available as normal once the service is back online.
Expected duration: a few hours. We will bring the service back online as soon as the updates are installed and tested. Please check back later.
